ONSTOR ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC ALLIANCE WITH FUJITSU

ONStor Certifies ETERNUS Storage Systems and Creates Joint Opportunities to Provide Medium and Large Enterprises with New Energy-Efficient Storage Solution

CAMPBELL, CA – May 13, 2008 - ONStor Inc., a leading provider of clustered NAS solutions for primary and value-tier storage for enterprises and content-rich organizations, today announced it has entered into a strategic alliance with Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation and has certified the Fujitsu ETERNUS®4000 and ETERNUS8000 storage systems to efficiently operate with the ONStor Bobcat NAS gateway. The alliance will provide medium and large enterprises with an energy-saving solution to consolidate storage and keep pace with the massive growth of unstructured and static data. This relationship will offer increased sales coverage, lead generation activities, joint industry solutions, co-marketing activities and a strong commitment to technical training. Under their reseller agreement, ONStor and Fujitsu can leverage each company’s assets to offer a highly reliable alternative storage solution to what is currently available on the market today.

“Many synergies exist between our two companies in terms of how we each help data center managers deal with the uncontrollable growth of content,” said Dave Egan, senior vice president, storage, Fujitsu Computer Systems. “Our alliance with ONStor opens the door to business opportunities in new markets, enabling us to offer our resellers and enterprise customers a new, energy-efficient choice that addresses the demanding data availability, uptime, and performance requirements of today’s data centers.”

Eco-Friendly, Energy-Efficient Design
Fujitsu ETERNUS storage systems include redundant controllers, power supply units, fans, and batteries as well as RAID technology to provide long-term data protection. They also feature an Eco-mode with MAID (Massive Arrays of Idle Disks) technology, which reduces power consumption by stopping spindle rotation at scheduled times. The ETERNUS4000 has a maximum storage capacity of 315 terabytes. The ETERNUS8000 has a maximum storage capacity of 2.07 petabytes. ONStor clustered NAS gateways in conjunction with ETERNUS, offer data centers a highly scalable clustered storage system for storing and managing enterprise content and unstructured data.

“With this new agreement, Fujitsu becomes our largest reseller in North America, which offers tremendous opportunity for widely expanded adoption of ONStor’s solutions,” said Tom Gallivan, senior vice president, worldwide sales at ONStor. “We’re committed to combining our resources with the large Fujitsu installed base of ETERNUS customers, resellers and distributors to make this a successful venture for both companies.”

“This move is positive for both ONStor and Fujitsu, as it offers additional opportunities to win business and collaborate on new product offerings,” said Benjamin S. Woo, vice president, enterprise storage systems, IDC. “IDC predicts tremendous growth in file-based storage to address the explosive content growth. ONStor’s gateway combined with Fujitsu storage will offer data centers an energy-efficient, highly available solution that can scale to accommodate the anticipated massive data growth.”
