  • Bob Miller - CEO

    Bob Miller has built a distinguished career with some of the world's most prominent computing giants as well as successfully leading more than a dozen promising computer startups. He began as an engineer at IBM and rose to director of IBM's Boulder Colorado Laboratory in the General Systems Division. Bob then transitioned to Data General where he led all of Data General's Computer Systems business, reaching $1.3 billion by the time Bob left in 1987.

    Over the past two decades, Bob has held leadership roles in 13 startups, nine of which have achieved market capitalizations in excess of $100 million and several of over $1B. Just prior to joining ONStor, Bob was founder and CEO of Slam Dunk Networks, which operates the Internet's first and only global infrastructure to guarantee delivery and tracking of transaction messages. Bob's impressive record with startups also includes MIPS, the developer of the industry's first 64–bit microprocessor, which had a successful initial public offering and subsequent purchase by SGI. Additionally, Bob led NeTpower, the first company to build high performance workstations using a combination of MIPS processors and Windows NT.

    Bevocal, Contivo, and Interweave are among the startups Bob has led, invested in, and on whose boards he has served. Over the years, Bob's board positions have included companies such as Box Hill (transitioning them from privately held through an initial public offering), Ingress, Rasna, and Vitesse. He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Bucknell University and an M.S. in thermodynamics from Stanford University. Bob is a licensed Professional Engineer, holds six patents, and is a distinguished alumnus of Bucknell University. Bob currently serves on the board of directors for Contivo, ONStor, Slam Dunk Networks, and is a life trustee of the Urban Institute.

  • Jonathan Goldick - Chief Technology Officer
    Jonathan Goldick is the Chief Technology Officer at ONStor, setting the company's technical direction in software and hardware design. A recognized expert in Global File Systems, Windows file system design, and the CIFS protocol, Mr. Goldick brings 16 years of enterprise computing experience. Prior to ONStor, he held leadership roles at Zambeel, Microsoft, IBM Transarc Labs, and the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center at Carnegie-Mellon University. At Zambeel he served as Architect, designing the key components of the company's Global File System. At Microsoft, Mr. Goldick served as a key technical contributor for CIFS protocol design futures, the backup/restore framework (VSS), NTFS performance and feature enhancements, and WebDAV futures. Prior to that he served as Chief NT architect for the file systems group at IBM Transarc where he designed multi-protocol algorithms to bridge the Windows and UNIX worlds. Mr. Goldick is the author of four IEEE and USENIX publications related to mass storage and Global File Systems, and holds three patents in the field. He holds a bachelors degree in Physics and a masters degree in Electrical Engineering, both from Carnegie-Mellon University.
  • William "Bill" Jobe - Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales

    Bill expands the ONStor leadership team with over 30 years of worldwide sales and sales management experience. Currently a private venture capitalist and computer, communications and software industry advisor, Bill has served on the board of a number of venture-funded high technology companies, many of which had successful IPO's where he served as a director and Chairman.

    Previously, Bill was Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales for MIPS Computer Systems and a general partner with Chatham Venture Corp., a venture capital firm investing in the computer, software and telecommunications field. Prior to Chatham Venture, he was President of Plexus Computers and VP of Sales and Marketing at VMX, Inc. the inventor and initial voicemail company. Jobe brings a wealth of international experience to ONStor having served as Vice President and General Manager of Data General Corporations General Distribution Division with worldwide responsibility for marketing and sales of Data General's MicroNova computers and peripherals product lines.

    Bill will be responsible for both international sales development and the growth and expansion of channel development.

  • Paul Negus - Vice President, Operations and Customer Service

    Paul Negus is an industry veteran with expertise in global supply chain management, generating major streams of revenue and building a solid base of satisfied customers with technology startups and multi-billion dollar corporations such as NeTpower, Sun Microsystems, and Unisys (UK) Ltd.

    As vice president of operations and customer service, Paul is responsible for strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout ONStor's operations. He's also responsible for planning, developing, and directing customer service programs that ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

    Prior to joining ONStor, Paul served as vice president of worldwide operations for Avanex Corporation, where he developed strategy and executed an outsourced manufacturing model in Asia that saved the company $15 million. Before joining Avanex, Paul held various executive management positions in operations for technology companies, where he has leveraged his leadership, strategic analysis, and tactical skills to improve operational efficiencies.

    Paul is a graduate of the Military Academy, Sandhurst, England.

  • Brian Stark – Founder and Vice President of Platform Systems

    Brian is the Vice President of Platform Systems and one of the original founders of ONStor. With over 15 years of hardware design experience, Brian has deep knowledge of multiprocessor and memory system design and has experience with many different microprocessors, including MIPS, PowerPC, StrongARM, and x86. In addition, Brian has a strong background in FPGA design and system performance tuning.

    At ONStor, Brian has been responsible for the architecture and design of hardware platforms, including schematic design, printed-circuit board layout, mechanical design, hardware drivers, and board bring-up. Prior to joining ONStor, Brian held key engineering positions at Assured Access Technology and Alantec. During his tenure with Assured Access Technology, he served as an architect and principal engineer in the design and development of remote access products that included central site modems, T1/E1 and T3/E3 connectivity, Ethernet, and ATM. At Alantec, Brian developed products that focused on Ethernet, ATM, and FDDI.

    Brian holds bachelors degrees in Electrical Engineering and History and a masters degree in Electrical Engineering, all from Stanford University.

  • Narayan Venkat - Vice President, Marketing

    Narayan Venkat has built his expertise in developing and marketing prominent product lines for storage, networking and semiconductor technology leaders. Prior to joining ONStor, Narayan was director of product marketing for Network Appliance, leading product strategy and direction for NetApp's NAS, SAN and storage management solutions - representing over half of the Company's revenues. He was instrumental in establishing Netapp's Open Data Management and DataONTAP API programs.

    Narayan began his career as an engineer in the Microprocessor Research Labs at Intel Corporation working on various technologies including distributed systems, compilers and operating systems. He was later responsible for product management of Intel's Itanium microprocessor.

    Over the past two decades Narayan also held key engineering and marketing positions at other silicon valley companies including Narus and KLA-Tencor.

    Narayan holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Utah State and an MBA from University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.
